Self-made businesswoman Lucinda Graves is determined to add a tropical hotel to her company's empire - and devastatingly handsome owner Jason Kaoki is willing to negotiate Lucinda passes his every test, but as each dare grows hotter and wilder than the last, will she be able to keep her eyes on the prize?
USA Today Bestselling Author Caitlin Crews discovered her first romance novel at the age of twelve, in a bargain bin at the local five and dime. It involved swashbuckling pirates, grand adventures, a heroine with a mind of her own, and a seriously mouthwatering and masterful hero. The book the title of which remains lost in the mists of time made a serious impression.
Caitlin was immediately smitten with romances and romance heroes, to the detriment of her middle school social life. And so began her life-long love affair with romance novels, many of which she insists on keeping near her at all times, thus creating a fire hazard of love wherever she lives. Caitlin has made her home in places as far-flung as York, England and Atlanta, Georgia. She was raised near New York City, and fell in love with London on her first visit when she was a teenager.

Jan 27, Valerity Val rated it really liked it Shelves: netgalley , , romance , fashion. I enjoyed it a lot and time flew by much too quickly when I read it. My thanks for the advance electronic copy that was provided by NetGalley, author Caitlin Crews, and the publisher for my fair review. I've started to read the Dare books.
I have read a few now. I love reading about a fictional hotel business, it adds such a glamorous atmosphere. I really enjoyed reading about these strong characters, both wanting success in their own way. Lucinda Graves seemed to have done her homework and gathered all her information before upon meeting with Jason Kaoki. Lucinda represents an international hotel business, she wanted to build at the resort where Jason lived on a private island. It was true tha I've started to read the Dare books.
It was true that Jason was a rich man, but Lucinda offered that she could make him even richer, is that even possible that Jason could be made even richer and would he know if he become richer? I do love reading about the super rich, it's an escape route reading about that's far different my profile in life, I'm nowhere near rich. The only real reason why Lucinda Graves had come to the private island in the first place was talk to Jason about a resort and not play around in his bedroom.

What will become of this? Will it just remain a fling or a bit more? I recommend the Dare books as you can always take a look at the Dare collection and see which blurb from the books that may edge you on to read one. View 2 comments. This is a great introduction to this whole new series of books and a whole new-to-me author. Even though this is apart of the Dare range from Mills and Boon, it is also book three in the Hotel Temptations series, which very easily can be read as a stand-a-lone.
Lucinda has been sent to an unnamed tropical island in the middle of the Pacific, her task is to get the reclusive owner; billionaire Jason Kaoki to sign over his hotel to her companies ever expanding empire. The only problem is that he has already sent four of her colleagues packing within minutes, she is adamant that she will not be leaving his island empty handed. She is a sassy, bold as brass, determined woman who has worked hard to get to where she is, which means she will do what ever it takes to get the contract signed. The story is set across a couple of days, as Lucinda and Jason play a game of sexy cat and mouse, as they fight each other for control over the situation they have found themselves in.
I like the pacing of this, nothing is slow or long winded, not dragging of the feet waiting for the bedroom scenes.
From the moment Lucinda and Jason meet, boom; pent up sexual tension ripples and hangs in the air like a heavy fog. I found their romance a little slow as it is very much focused on their sexual relationship rather then the emotional one, but those moment when they are truly getting to know each other near the end is very tender and well written.
Overall an enjoyable weekend read. Feb 04, Bookgasms Book Blog rated it really liked it Shelves: ratula. I am so addicted to Caitlin Crews stories and have loved the Hotel Temptation series immensely!
This novel was so powerfully sexy and I could not stop reading! When Lucinda Graves makes it her mission to convince millionaire Jason Kaoki to turn his undeveloped private island into an elite luxury resort, she had no idea the amount of combustible chemistry that would erupt between them. But when the connection to Jason forces Lucinda to reevaluate her own long term wants and desires, she realizes I am so addicted to Caitlin Crews stories and have loved the Hotel Temptation series immensely!
But when the connection to Jason forces Lucinda to reevaluate her own long term wants and desires, she realizes how untamed and predatory Jason really is in getting what he wants. I really loved this story as Lucinda and Jason were so deliciously sexy. But I felt that their emotional backstories were glossed over and almost rushed.

I would have preferred them to be fleshed out more in depth. Furthermore, I felt like the story had SO much internal monologue that I found myself at times skipping pages to where they would be speaking again. It felt almost excessive at times. All in all, this was a great story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. He never expected Lucinda to actually take the bait, but when she does… Well, needless to say it gets hot.
My feelings about this books are a bit mixed.
What I did like was how Crews managed to breathe life into the setting she described. In the end, Jason goes after Lucinda, fully willing to hand over his perfect, nearly untouched island to her so she can build her resort in exchange for her living with him. I can buy myself another one. As you pointed out, the place itself has no sentimental value to me. But it does to you. However, the wildlife and the plants and the trees on the island that will suffer because of the development of some luxury resort, do not have to luxury.
They will suffer because you want to get your girl. Like I said, I hated this part.goatgagicdaltio.gq
The best young adult books of 2015
It might not bother anyone else, but it really did bother me, even though I know this is fiction. All in all, this was an okay read. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Mar 23, Shell Cunliffe rated it really liked it. Oh my was this book hot, especially the beach scene, wow the sexual chemistry was off the page. One thing that bugged me was why make the heroine feisty who was in control of her life, she knew what she wanted and how to get it, for her then bow down to the hero, for me this didn't make much sense.
But apart from that this was a well written book, which took you to this wonderful island and a gorgeous hero, and let me just say any book written by Caitlin Crews is definitely worth reading. Feb 19, Ruthie Taylor rated it really liked it. They are really good reads too, and I am writing my review assuming you do know the back story.
